You've taken your first step into the underwater world by starting your Open Water Diver course.

As a PADI Open Water Diver, you'll explore the underwater realm, see new creatures and experience your world from an entirely new perspective. And, you’ll enjoy the excitement and camaraderie that come with the PADI diver lifestyle.

What You Learn

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

  • Knowledge Development ( online, home study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
  • Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore!

Prerequisites

To enroll in the PADI Open Diver course or Junior Open Water Diver course, you must

  • Be 10 years or older (PADI eLearning requires a minimum age of 13 years due to international internet laws

The Fun Part

The fun part about this course is . . . well, just about all of it because learning to dive is incredible. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you’ll make at least five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

You can do your Course it in three ways:

1 .- Taking theory, practice swimming and diving in the sea with Dive Encounters.

2 .- Taking theory and practice in the pool with Dive Encounters. And part of it dives into the sea by your side.

3 .- Taking theory on your side and learning, with practices in the pool with Encounters Dive and dive in the sea can be with us or by your side.

* We can refer you to several dive shops to do your part of the sea by your side.
