Typical Itinerary:
Sunday - Day 1:
You will be picked up from New Bight Airport (TBI) on Cat Island. Our vans will meet you for the ride back to your accommodations. You'll have the day to relax, unpack, and get your gear ready....the adventure begins tomorrow.
Monday - Friday, Days 2-6:
The waters around Cat Island offer very rare encounters with Oceanic Whitetip Sharks. Our team knows the best areas to get you up close to the Oceanic Whitetips, and our dive site will depend on weather and safety conditions. On the five dive days, we will transfer you to the boat in the morning and head out to some of our favorite spots for Oceanic encounters. Once in the area, we set adrift and begin bringing in the sharks. It has taken anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours waiting for the sharks. Our boat is spacious and comfortable with plenty of space to get out of the sun. Once the sharks show, safety divers enter the water and begin bringing in the guests. There are always chances of seeing Blue, Reef, Nurse, Lemon, Silky, Bull, and Tiger Sharks in the waters around Cat! We even had dorado, white and blue marlin stop by!
Saturday, Day 7:
Flights generally leave Cat Island at either 9am or 4pm. Most will leave on the earlier flight in order to make same-day connections on to their final destination. Your transportation will arrive at 7 am if you are on the morning flight and 2 pm if you are on the afternoon flight to take you to the airport.
We highly recommend dive trip and equipment insurance There are no refunds for lost diving days due to injury, equipment malfunction, or weather. Having this insurance will safeguard you from unexpected losses.
We require DAN insurance or equivalent There are no major medical facilities or decompression chamber on Cat Island and most diving related injuries will require air evacuation to Nassau.
